英文绘本《The Old Tree Stump》

院子里有个老树桩，Kipper正在使劲拔树桩，绳子都快断了。这又是一个怎样有趣的故事呢？

"That old stump has to go."said Dad.

“这个老树桩得移走了。”爸爸说。

Dad pulled the old stump, but it didn t come up.

爸爸拉着老树桩，但它没有出来。

Dad called Mum to help. 

爸爸叫了妈妈来帮忙。

"I ll push it. You pull it." said Dad.

“我来推，你拉。”爸爸说。

"When I say pull," said Dad, "I want you to pull!"

“当我说拉的时候，”爸爸说，“你就向外拉！”

Mum pulled and pulled, but the stump didn t come up.

妈妈拉了又拉，但树桩还是没上来。

Dad wanted Chip to help.

爸爸想要奇普帮忙。

 "When I shout pull," said Dad, "I want you to pull."

“当我喊拉的时候，”爸爸说，“我想让你帮忙拉。”

They all pulled... but the stump still didn t come up.

他们一起往外拉…但是树桩还是没出来。

Kipper wanted to help.

Kipper想帮忙。

"Come on, then," said Dad.

“那来吧！”爸爸说。

" When I shout pull... PULL!"

“当我大喊拉的时候…大家一起拉！”

Then pulled and they pulled...

他们拉了又拉…

but the stump still didn t come up .

但是树桩还没上来。

"I ll pull as well," said Dad,"When I yell pull...PULL!"

“我也会一起拉，”爸爸说，“当我大喊拉的时候…大家一起拉！”

They all pulled and pulled... but the stump still didn t come up.

他们都拉了又拉…但是树桩始终没出来。

Floppy saw a bone. 

软盘看到了一个骨头。

He dug and he dug,and...up come the stump!

他挖呀挖呀，然后...树桩上来了！

BUMP!

砰！

"Good old Floppy!" said Chip.

“好伙计！”奇普说。
