《The Genie in the Bottle》绘本内容

This story is about a fisherman, a bottle and a BIG bad genie. 

这是一个关于渔夫，瓶子和一个邪恶的大妖怪的故事。

Once upon a time, a fisherman went fishing. He threw his nets again and again.

很久很久以前，有一个渔夫去捕鱼。他一次又一次地撒网。

He caught slimy seaweed… shiny shells… and a smelly sock. (Yuck!)

他捕到了黏糊糊的海草、闪亮的贝壳和一只臭袜子。（真恶心！）

Then, he caught something else. “A fish!” he cried. But it wasn't. It was an old bottle.

突然，他捕到了一个很沉的东西，“是一条鱼！”他大喊道。但并不是。原来是一个旧瓶子。

He pulled out the stopper and looked in. “Empty,” he sighed. And he threw it away. (CLUNK!)

他把瓶盖打开，透过瓶口看到瓶底。“原来是空的，”渔夫叹了一口气。随手把瓶子扔掉了。(哐！拟声词)

Suddenly, smoke poured out. The smoke turned into a huge face. “Help,” cried the fisherman. “A genie!”

突然，瓶口冒出了一股浓烟。浓烟变成了一张巨大的脸。“救命啊！”渔夫惊叫道。“是妖怪呀！”

The genie's tummy rumbled. “I’m hungry,” he growled. “I’m going to EAT you!” (Meow!)

妖怪的肚子咕噜噜地响。他用低沉的嗓音咆哮说：“我好饿啊！我要吃掉你！”（喵！）

“That’s not very kind,” said the fisherman. (I don't care.)  “I’m hungry,” shouted the genie. “I’ve been in that bottle for a long, long time.”

“那可不太好，”渔夫说。(我不在乎！)“我好饿啊，”妖怪喊道，“我被关在那个瓶子里面太长时间了。”

The fisherman thought fast. ( I have to get him back in the bottle.) “You were inside this bottle?” he asked. “YES,” snapped the genie.

渔夫灵机一动。(我要把这只妖怪重新装回瓶子里。)渔夫假装问：“你之前在这个瓶子里？”“当然！”妖怪不耐烦地说。

The fisherman laughed. “You'd never fit,” he said. “Watch,” said the genie. He whooshed back in…(Whoosh) and the fisherman pushed the stopper in hard. (Whew!)(Grrrrrr.)

渔夫笑了。接着说：“你根本进不去。”“不信你看！”妖怪说道。他嗖的一声飞回了瓶子里。（嗖！拟声词）渔夫赶紧把瓶盖盖紧。（拟声词）

Then the fisherman went on fishing… and caught a tasty fish for dinner. (Purrrr)

之后，渔夫悠然自得的接着捕鱼，终于抓到了一条鱼并做成美味的晚餐。（咕噜咕噜～拟声词）
