It was raining and the Little Princess was busy with her painting when the awful thing happened...
下雨的一天，小公主忙着画画的时候，一件可怕的事情发生了...
She knocked her water pot over and she spoiled the best painting she had ever done.
她撞到了她的水桶，她毁掉了她有史以来画得最好的一幅画。
"Don't worry，" said the Maid.
"不用担心，"女仆说。
"Everything's OK！"
"一切都会好的！
And she mopped up the mess.
然后她把水拖干净。
"I WANT MY MUM！"yelled the Little Princess.
"我要妈妈！"小公主大哭起来。
Mum held up the soggy picture.
妈妈拿起这幅湿乎乎的图画。
"That's WONDERFUL！"she said.
"画得真好！"她说。
"A rainy day."
"画的是下雨天吧。"
The Little Princess smiled.
小公主开心地笑了。
When the rain stopped,
当雨停了的时候，
She went outside to play on the see-saw，
她出门去玩跷跷板，
And the terrible thing happened...
又一件可怕的事发生了...
She banged her knee.
她的膝盖撞伤了。
"There，there，"said the Doctor.
"好了，好了。"医生说。
"That's OK now."
"现在没事了。"
And she put some smelly stuff onto it.
接着医生往伤口上涂了一些难闻的东西。
"I WANT MY MUM！"cried the Little Princess.
"我要妈妈！小公主大叫。
And Mum kissed the smilly knee better.
妈妈过来亲了亲她的膝盖。
The Little Princess smiled.
小公主就不觉得疼了。
That night，the Little Princess couldn't sleep，
到了晚上，小公主睡不着，
Because of the monster living under the bed.
因为她觉得床下面有个怪物。
"There isn't a monster living under the bed，"
"床底下没有怪物，"
Said Dad，"Look!"
爸爸抬起床脚给她看，"看！"
But the Little Princess daren't.
但是小公主不敢看。
"I WANT MY MUM！"she screamed.
"我要妈妈！"她大叫起来。
"I'll read stories to you and the monster，"said Mum.
"那我给你和这只怪物讲个故事吧，"妈妈说。
The Little Princess smiled.
小公主不害怕了。
And fell asleep.
然后一会儿就睡着了。
"I HATE eggs！" said the Little Princess at breakfast.
"我讨厌吃蛋！"小公主在吃早餐时说。
"Eat it up，"said the cook，"It's awfully good for you."
"吃光它，"厨师说，"这个对你很好的。"
"I WANT MY MUM！"howled the Little Princess.
"我要妈妈！"小公主大吼。
"Oh, GOODY！"said Mum.
"哇哦！"妈妈说。
"Dinosaur eggs， I love those."
"恐龙蛋呀，我可喜欢吃了。"
The Little Princess smiled.
小公主笑着追起妈妈。
"Hey，save some for ME！"
"嘿，给我留点！"
All morning the Little Princess had to play by herself.
整个早上小公主都在自己玩。
The Maid popped in to play Ludo.
女仆突然进来，要玩Ludo。
"I WANT MY MUM！"bawled the Little Princess.
"我要妈妈！"小公主大喊。
The Admiral popped in to play boats.
将军跑进来要玩船。
"I WANT MY MUM！"hooted the Little Princess.
"我要妈妈！"小公主叫起来。
The Little Prince popped in to play anything at all.
小公主什么都不想玩，到处跑来跑去。
And to stop the noise.
她不想再待在这么吵的地方了。
"I WANT MY MUM！"shrieked the Little Princess.
"我要妈妈！"小公主尖叫。
At last Mum came，with some thrilling news.
最后妈妈来了，她带来了一个令人激动的消息。
"The little Duchess has asked you over for a sleepover tonigh，with crisps and a video."
"公爵家的女儿请你去她家过夜啦，有薯片吃还有影碟看。"
The Little Princess packed her bag，and began to cry.
于是小公主边哭边打包行李。
"What's the MATTER？"said Mum.
"怎么了？"妈妈说。
"I DON'T WANT TO GO！"sobbed the Little Princess.
"我不想去！"小公主啜泣起来。
"I WANT TO STAY HERE WITH GILBERT AND YOU！"
"我想和你还有吉伯特在一起！"
"But Gilbert and I are coming with you，" said Mum.
"但是我和吉伯特会陪你一起去的，"妈妈说。
At the Little Duchess's castle,
到了公爵女儿的城堡里，
The video was turned on and Mum crept away.
妈妈把影碟放下就悄悄走了。
"I WANT..."began to Little Princess...
"我要..."小公主又要哭了...
But the video was terribly funn，
但是影碟太好看了，
And the crisps were terribly good.
薯片也很好吃。
The Little Princess smiled.
小公主好开心。
Back in the Royal Palace，Mum looked at Dad.
回皇宫里，妈妈看着爸爸。
"She's having a wonderful time，" she said.
"她现在肯定玩的正开心呢，"妈妈说。
Then...
然后妈妈难过起来...
"I WANT MY LITTLE PRINCESS！"
"我想我的小公主了！"
